"When you upgrade to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, we'll convert any prepaid time you have on Xbox Game Pass or EA Play subscriptions and apply it toward Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at the current conversion ratio, up to a maximum of 36 months.

Based on the code conversion chart. for existing GPUltimate, 12 months of GPEssential applied to it becomes 91 days of Ultimate.
However, if you applied 12 months of GPE first, then get GPU, it becomes 146 days.
My question is: am I the only one that think that the prices for the memberships are already on the "expensive" side?
Kids (as far as I know) do not have that amount of money to burn month after month and adult gamers (in theory) do not have time to play all day everyday

I'd prefer it be no cost, though about $5/mo is about as cheap as I've seen it for this product. The ~$14/mo for GPU after conversion isn't worth it to me right now.

The next tier of Game Pass is Premium and that is more in line with PS Extra. However GP Premium is more expensive that PS Extra. And to add insult to injury, GP Premium has about 1/3 of the games that Extra does.
There really aren't any deals to be had with GP anymore, unfortunately. My ultimate expires in a month and I'm not reupping this time.

As an FYI you can also share game pass and digital games with a friend if you put your account and your friends account on each other Xbox. Google it and you'll find directions...
Finally, if you're comfortable sailing the high seas, I'd look at getting retroconsoles over the latest greatest. Send a msg MSFT Sony and Nintendo there is another option to their greedy business model
