Man, they are really pushing the online version... I installed the desktop version and they have 3 popups/prompts that force you to answer why you don't want the online version.

Dead on Amazon. Costco still has the deal with $10 in-app purchase credit instead of e-gift card.

Just double checking, we need forms for rental property and use to do Deluxe, until they said it didn't support rentals anymore (sounds like they misrepresented that) and was buying premier, but reading the comments, we can just do Deluxe and it will walk us through the forms we need. Been a rental for a long time so have many past tax forms. Sounds like it will import our last years taxes (save on computer both formats). So Deluxe is ok??

Also, does in store Costco (as Amazon doesn't have GC now) have the program for less then $36.99 or is it the same as online?

Disagree. Ever a W2 wager will see benefit from a halfway decent accountant. There's lots of things people aren't aware of that can help them with their taxes. The gov't would greatly prefer you don't...because you leave money on the table. Their table to be specific.
Can you give us some specific examples?

Thought everyone was refusing to pay their taxes this year?

They already took me for more than I owe, so they have me over a barrel at this point 😂

I'm not seeing the suggested pricing when I follow the link. Is the deal already over?

No, if u file in TT desktop Intuit can not access data unless u generate a unique code from ur TT program and provide it to Intuit.
That unique is needed only when filing using Online version, correct?

This is the best summary I've found: https://thefinancebuff.com/tax-so...sktop.html

In general, TT online is more expensive, less powerful, and more susceptible to upsells. Which is why they want to move people from TT desktop to TT online.
i'm guessing this will also not allow you to install the software on up to 5 computers like the offline version
