Since this thread will probably get a lot of views let this be my yearly reminder that when it comes to the desktop/download version, virtually no one needs anything other than Turbotax Deluxe.

TT strongly pushes Premier and Home & Business but the fact is that TT Deluxe can handle every situation that these more expensive versions can. The only exception that I am aware of is the ability to create W2 and 1099 forms for employees in H&B.

Deluxe has everything for all investment types, everything for owners of rental properties, everything for self-employed (1099-NEC/Schedule C filers), everything for those who do itemized deductions.

The higher versions offer more guidance but Deluxe has all the forms required and will still walk you through all of it.

Note that Turbotax Online is completely different, Deluxe Online is purposely limited forcing more complex returns to use the more expenisve Online versions than Deluxe.

Friendly reminder that this now requires Windows 11 and unfortunately will not work on Windows 10.

Or just do freetaxusa and get the same experience on the web for free. I think state is like $15 if you want to do that through them too

It's $39 price difference (assuming you have a credit card that can get you $5 back on the state fee with Intuit, otherwise the difference is $44)
I calculated it as $45 - 10 GC = $35 - 15 state filing that FreeTaxUSA charges for = $20.

If purchased through Amazon, do they just send an email with instructions and a code? How long a lag time from when you place the order until you get the email with all the info?

Same here. Ordered Friday night and still waiting on Sunday. Wife called Costco and they told her that there's an issue with TurboTax itself and getting it delivered. Told her they'd get back to her in two days if we haven't received yet. It's a digital product. Not sure what the issue is.
Did you ever get it? I called and they tried resending but still didn't work. I got them to just refund me. Maybe I'll buy at the warehouse instead.

What can I do if my computer doesn't support windows 11? And I want to buy home and Buisness for stock purchases and import everything.

Home and Business is garbage. Why do you think you need it? Do you have a trust?

Dumb question burn is this an app? I used TT last year but was able to do everything over a browser. Not sure why the app is needed?

Also since I did them last year using TT over the web, will it allow me to import last years return?

yes, 5 federal e-files included with the desktop software. State software included, which you can use to print/mail in, but state e-file is $25 each.

Only "other" deal I could find in February 2026:
TurboTax Deluxe Desktop Edition 2025, Federal & State Tax Return [PC/Mac Download] $45
(no "Gift Cards" nor "In-product credit" though, from previous better deals...)
https://www.amazon.com/TurboTax-D...B0FWV56H48

... no Sam's nor Costco for me... and I owe this year, so no real advantages to efiling this time, I am intentionally going to be mailing in my returns and check payment(s) at last minute due date, no rush to 'filing and paying early' yhis year, I guess, just being last minute timely to avoid penalties, letting my paperwork get intermingled in with all the other last minute filers deluge, cuz thats how I feel about it this year ...

You can efile the returns anytime and schedule the payments later online. I pay my federal and state taxes and quarterly estimates close to the due date. I'm like you, I would never pay early.

You can e-file and pay online on 4/15. I guess that might be slightly earlier than the delay related to a paper return and check.

TurboTax charges $25 to e-file state vs $16 to e-file with FreeTaxUSA
TurboTax with this deal is $35 + $25 = $60 vs FreeTaxUSA at $16
Most people have a credit card with offers, and TurboTax are usually included at $5 back
So most end up with TT at $55 vs FTUSA still at $16
