That thing is huge for what it is. With 3 watts of speaker power it's not like it's even going to have amazing sound quality. Just find one of the flip up dvd players.

I have no idea who this thing is for. The size makes it a bad portable dvd player. Very low watt speakers for something so big. Price is kind of high for a bluetooth speaker or dvd player of this quality level. Are they just going for the nostalgia factor and hoping someone who had a boombox back in the day will want something that also kinda looks like one.

I have one of these I got for a gift a couple years ago. They gave me the receipt and they paid 60. In the summer I hook up a nes classic to this and play on my porch.

That is actually pretty sweet. Love my Aiwa exos 9. I wouldn't mind this seeing how you can use a roku stick on it. But I'd rather pay like 60.

Yeah the only way this product makes sense is if it's considerably cheaper than others.

Retro nostalgic e-waste. Who's watching dvds anymore? Who's watching them in this? A phone screen is about the same size, and you could stream a higher resolution than a DVD on it.

Ok, but what about when the entire grid goes down and you can't stream anything? How will you watch the new SpongeBob movie then? Riddle me that!

DVDs still outsell Blu-rays and 4K Blu-rays every year.

All those media formats are dead.

The Digital Entertainment Group (DEG) and Omdia reported that combined DVD, Blu‑ray, and UHD Blu‑ray disc sales revenue in the U.S. dropped about 23–23.4% in 2024, to just under 1 billion dollars (about 959.6 million).

A broader video streaming definition that includes more categories puts the global video streaming market at about 674.3 billion dollars in 2024, with North America holding the largest share.

Sounds like it's losing popularity, not dead. Try again.
