Personally I'd stay away from any of smaller 1" weight plates and only 2" Olympic sized bars and plates...but to each their own. My experience is one can not load as much weight on the smaller bars, bending, etc. But this from with workout friends that were bending the 2" bars with 700+ lbs bouncing on the ends, so...
