Truly the only reasonable priced fast food left. The $7 luxe box is a steal (3 items and a drink). You won't find more for less

What makes them nacho fries? Nacho flavor or nacho cheese dip?

Both. Okay if they are fresh but like hard as sticks every time I've tried them recently.

Don't try the pink frozen cookie slush drink. Tastes insanely processed and plasticy compared to the other flavors

Same here. Are you perhaps on a VPN? When I turned mine off the button worked.

None of the items are even worth $5 and even if they are, you are having to spend extra money on top of the $5 purchase. Come on Taco Bell, you can do better! Even Wendy's is better.

000 gets you a free taco with $5 purchase (Free taco at the most expensive price $3.89, if the offer can be used on that)
111 gets you nacho fries for $1.11 w/ $5 purchase ($2.59 regular price for Nacho Fries)
222 gets you a $2.22 cantina taco with $5 purchase ($2.99 regular price for a cantina taco)

The beef I have with this one is that its not 50% off.
333 gets you a $3.33 chalupa ($5.39 regular price for a chalupa)

$5.56 from 50% off:
444 gets you $4.44 off a $20 purchase
Wendy's closed hundreds of locations in 2025, with more to come in 2026. They need to copy anything and everything TB is doing, as TB sales have continued to grow year after year.

Funny enough a Wendy's near me got bulldozed a few months ago. Upon its grave a Taco Bell sits. Next town over a BoA got demolished to make way for another Taco Bell. They cant pump em out fast enough.

I actually had looked this up on why Taco Bell is doing so well (note, I have not gone there since the Mexican Pizza with $5 purchase deal last year). And they state that even when prices climbed (which turned me off on them because then I knew I was not going to get the same value from them), they still have an economical menu and a higher quality menu. They address both demographics. This may be one of many reasons why Taco Bell is doing well.

Wendy's, I feel, they introduce new things to their menus and they spend a lot of money on that (customers do not want that). Look at a place like McDonald's and they are thriving, but they change sauces and so one could just remove the sauce if they wanted to keep the same Big Mac or Crispy Chicken sandwich.

So ultimately, I have no idea why Taco Bell is STILL doing so well, but cannot debate the fact that more locations are still popping up.
I actually think a major contributing factor is the introduction of the various Luxe Boxes. The pricing has remained consistent and they appear to be a good value…comparatively. Other than that I'm not sure, because a majority of the one off menu items are wildly overpriced.

But what I am seeing is the beginning of nickel and diming. For example:

Used to be able to upsize a drink from medium to large for .10 cents. Now its .50 cents. Substitute a crunchy taco with a soft taco supreme was .20, now its .80.

Plus they nerfed the rewards menu into absolute oblivion.

Wendy's downfall was their outrageous pricing coupled with shrinkflation across the board. "Pay more for less" was on full display. Now they are in a death spiral and the customers won't be returning.

I strongly suspect it has something to do with how much regular marijuana users enjoy their food.
