I bought this card at this price a couple of weeks ago. Apart from being a 5060 Ti 16gb (meaning the card is just like any 5060 Ti 16gb), the shroud and everything is plastic, but the backplate is metal. The backplate seems fairly high quality. The card has no LED lights, which is a bonus for me.

I'm still not sure how good of a deal it is/was, but I needed it for work and whether it's $350 or $400 didn't really matter to me, because I needed a card now and this is what the Nvidia/Palantir overlords determined is my price to pay, but compared to other offerings, this seems like a decent deal if you need CUDA and a good amount of VRAM. Just don't get caught in the cascading price model, where you go "oh, might as well go for the 5070 for $100 more", "but the 5070 only has 12GB, so I might as well go for the 5070 Ti 16GB", and then before you know it, you're spending $800.

I doubt that the 16GB versions will be this price for long. If you are on the fence(and happen to be close to a microcenter), I would buy now if you want a 16GB card.

Exactly. Picked this up today for my nephew who loves modding games so the 16GB of vram will be useful to him.

If I went with the 5070 and up he would probably need a new power supply upgrade so that's just more $$$ as well.

Microcenter deals drive me crazy since they're all in-store only and the nearest one to me is about 2 hours away.

Still overpriced, I got the PNY from Amazon deal last summer for $379 and was thinking they will drop in BF or cuber Monday and they did not!
MSRP is $429 and no sales except a day last summer ?

RAM prices are spiking due to pressure from AI (And openAI buying 40% of the world's supply of unprocessed RAM wafers.. they can't even package those themselves...) Look at desktop and server RAM, prices are up 2-3x or more.. and this is also affecting GPU vram too. Rumors are Nvidia are about to drop the 16gb 5060 ti cards entirely and just sell the 8gb cards and rumors are also both Nvidia and AMD will start raising GPU prices soon. You got a deal on that PNY card at the right time. Things probably won't be that good this year.

Well, the 5070 is significantly faster (almost 40%) compared to the 5060 ti. I would only consider the VRAM difference if gaming at 4k or doing some sort of video editing that required the full 16GB. TBH you probably wouldn't be looking at a 5060 ti if you were doing either one of those things. Even at 1440p, I haven't come closing to maxing out the 12GB of dedicated VRAM since I bought my 5070 almost a year ago.
