According to the most recent review on Ikea's site, this speaker was $99 in 2023, but it was increased to $180 at some point since then. I guess they're just selling it again at the price it was always supposed to be.

They announced the partnership was ending back in May. They're being discontinued this month - surprised though that they're still in stock.
"By mutual agreement, no new products will be co-developed, and the existing range will stop selling in January 2026, or until the inventory runs out."
IKEA and Sonos announced in May these (and all other ikea partnered Sonos products) are being discontinued. There are only 8 ikea stores left in the US with inventory on hand for these bookshelf speakers.
OP, I'm from Baltimore area. By any chance did you happen to see how many of these were in stock? Don't want to drive almost an hour one way if they don't have too many in stock. TIA

Been out of stock in my area for MONTHS. And I'm honestly okay with that because I personally find that they sound like shit. Even the Play:1 from 2013 has noticeably better, and fuller, sound quality.
But as an affordable way to build out a surround setup, they're definitely serviceable.

Yeah, figures as much (when they don't list specs, they're usually not great LOL). Probably just a couple of 2" midrange drivers and no tweeters in them. But I have to ask, how would you eve use these as surrounds since they're wifi speakers? Can 2 of these be linked together for a stereo setup?

I bought two of these a couple of months ago, but still have them in the boxes. Went to my local store (which doesn't have them in stock) and they wouldn't price match the MD store. Although the website says they'll price match up to 90 days within purchasing, I guess that only applies if the website has the cheaper price.
