These are pretty great if you need them, but if you slap them in a packout that you use for all your fasteners it attracts random screws and nails, and then the lid doesn't close because it's too tall. I ended up taking all my magnetic trays out of my pack outs and just leave them on the bench separate. If they were completely flat and thinner they'd be great.

Milwaukee is bonkers for thinking this is worth $17 let alone $30. Aside from the coloring and "non-marring" aspect of the magnet, this is a one dollar item.

I used to use those cheap ones, until I grabbed one by the bowl and the magnet got left behind, dumping all my irreplaceable small parts all over the floor and under the workbench, resulting in tons of lost time trying to find everything again. I think that at under $6 each, a quality magnetic tray is well worth it.

That is such a rare occurrence I wouldn't even think twice about just using a Harbor Freight mag bowl. $17 is a joke for this thing.

Only once did it cause me to lose the contents, but I have had more than one cheap magnetic bin lose it's magnet. These are less than $6 each. Harborfreight has low quality ones for $3 each or US General for $5 each, both using the same design. For less than a dollar more, the ones in this deal don't count on questionable glue to keep the magnet attached and they integrate with Packout.

Got the larger version and they are useless on the packout for me, does not lock on to a packout, sits loosely in the slots. I got them in the hopes that it is all magnetic and the back would stick to the metal door of my garage cabinets, success! I have 1 each on the inside door of my 3 cabinets, put bits on them so they don't roll around inside my cabinets. Easy access to bits I use all the time, well worth the cost and they stick on the doors pretty well.

They are intended to go inside the packout organizers or to hang on the wall plate, not lock onto a packout stack, though that would be a welcome feature.
