Paid $22.49 before sales tax last year (1/12/2025) for H&R Block Deluxe + State 2024 at NewEgg. Prior years paid the following:
12/13/2023 H&R Block 2023 Deluxe + State $19.99
1/12/2023 H&R Block 2022 Deluxe + State $19.99
1/3/2022 H&R Block 2021 Deluxe + State $17.48
12/29/2020 H&R Block 2020 Deluxe + State $21.49
1/3/2020 H&R Block 2019 Deluxe + State $19.99
1/10/2019 H&R Block 2018 Deluxe + State $19.97

This year the deal pricing based on a number of past deal discussions for the 2025 version seems to be slightly more overall than prior year's various deal pricing.

There are 9 states without income tax. In addition, some states income tax forms are very easy to fill out, so easy that the using tax software takes longer that doing with the state's forms or website.

Same deal as a few days ago, but a new promo code. Good price, might end up being the lowest of the season. We'll see.

Free Tax USA https://www.freetaxusa.com/ is free for federal and state is only $15.99. Not only much less expensive but I find it easier to use, even for a small business.

HR Block never had a decent sale last year so I switched (I think lots of others did too). I agree that Free tax USA is easy to use and have a business. HR Block hurt themselves a bit last year in my opinion as I don't think people who left will be going back.

Is deluxe good enough for doing taxes for a business. I have an Airbnb and I think last year I used premium but not sure if I needed to Get the premium version.

Two years ago, this software couldn't do e-file if you have foreign tax credit carryover. Otherwise I've found this software good to use.

I would think that most people who need to file federal taxes in the United States also need to file state taxes.

So what do you think we'll get this year, at least $22.49? Or maybe less?
