They did, the question is whether or not the resets were intentional or not. Amazon has already been sued for using "dark pattern" manipulation so I wouldn't doubt if they were running behavioral tests with the s&s coupons. They have definitely clamped down on coupons like these and have eliminated the "bug" where you could double up on buy now + s&s coupons.
