You can argue it's still worth it if you play frequently.
Think about it. They already took our ability to own games. Every digital game you've ever purchased you don't own. You only own the temporary license to the game. So it's not like you own anything anyway, then what's the point of purchasing it? Gamepass makes sense if you think about it like that.
The cloud gaming can take a hike though. I will quit gaming before adopting cloud gaming. I will find another hobby.
It was a weird split. The 360 GwG titles are yours forever, but the Xbox One games are only available as long as you keep a subscription.
Like someone else in the thread mentioned, it's an "own nothing and like it" environment.
Yeah, this is turning into a really great environment. This game pass subscription will go perfectly with the house you'll never be able to afford to own...

It really depends on the number of games played. I don't use it as much as I should so it isn't worth it for me at this price, but combined with the fact my kids get to try a bunch of games on it and they seem to get tired of a game after a week it is nice they can just pick up and play something and move on without deciding if the cost is worth it.
My super cheap sub ends in 4 months and honestly probably not worth subscribing at $16 a month like here, but I get how it can be worth it for many at that price.
now? idk --- with how many options of games and different f2p title genres the only things would be couch coop + single player experiences
or i guess non always online coop games would be what you would want in the streaming service / problem is most of those games end up less per month than the 30 dollars a month microsoft is asking for
My sub is ending in 4 months and if I had the problem of nothing else to play I would resub, but honestly my backlog has been growing the last 2.5 years and I need to tend to it. I want to power through what I can in the next 4 months and move on. My kids are gonna be bummed because even at 10 and 7 they seem to be struggling with this idea that all these games they like they will lose.
What adds value for me is my kids get to enjoy games on our Series S as well. No way is it worth $30 a month, but If I saw a deal like this I would get it form time to time... especially if a new first party game came out that I wanted to try, such as the new Fable game.

No matter how good the deal, I always see people posting that Game Pass is "overpriced" even at the sale price. If you are one of those people, what is the monthly cost that you think is reasonable for a service like this? Not from a fanboy perspective, but an actual value proposition? I mean, Netflix is $18 per month now for standard or $25 for the highest tier for comparison. This deal puts it at $16.33 per month, yet there are people who still think it's an absurd price?
