son claims this is "garbage" protein. True? Their Fitzels tasted bad too, but sweet stuff is ok.

I'm no doctor... I'm somewhat average body but have decent muscle mass and lift regularly, and I've used various different protein supplements over the years but if you look at the sheer NUMBER of options you have these days, a vast majority of them have like two-dozen ingredients. The focus went from being a 'good source of protein' to 'check out this donut flavored cupcake with protein bro- it's a super good tasting with protein bro!!'.

If you want more protein, honestly focus on actual food if you can (eggs, beans, chicken, etc.).

If you want more protein and just want it fast: peanut butter (again, check the ingredients).

If you need additional protein for gains, then things get tricky because of stuff like this. I've stuck with Optimum Gold and Orgain for the past 3-4 years and it seems like they've stayed mostly true to course... granted Optimum's ingredients list isn't all that small.
