Ask your roommate or SO before buying. I love mine but found my kitchen wizard roomie hates them. So I had to settle for the big jug in the fridge and an "accident" every couple of years that destroys the mold maker.

These aren't fungus proof but it's a lot harder and cheaper to replace periodically.

This doesn't appear to handle PFOS/PFAS (there are some under the sink filters that do).

Had one of these a long time ago. If you are considering this, be sure to factor in the cost of the filters. Four filter changes per year adds up.

Junk, get a real filtration system such as RO, get a TDS meter to measure the output water as well for comparison.

Didn't fit our kitchen sink faucet. Had a plumber over for something else and he could not find the adapter that would make this work.

PUR used to even advertise that they reduce microbial cysts. Not anymore. Not sure if cheaper filters or just a legal reason.

I wonder if there is a difference between open box and new for these or just random classification by their "bullseye deals" division. Bought one in store at target once that still had water in it.

Probably not a good idea to go cheap when it comes to drinking water. Stay safe, people!

Do you have experience with this one? How much do the filters cost? I am using a Brita pitcher now, so I am considering this one to try.

I do not have any experience with this one, unfortunately.

A quick Google search shows that the normal price for filters is $40 for 3 filters. Target and Walmart appear to be running a sale at the moment and you can get 3 filters for $27.

Thanks, I was also searching and was looking at the walmart's price. I see few variations on the purifier and it looks like a vertical one might me more convenient for my use. Will look into it and compare more.

Chlorine isn't even listed in the filterable part within the advertisement verbiage, besides for that much money, why not get a 5-stage RO?
Do you really expect this product does anything? Maybe, but how clean is it going to be?

I bought this "Open Box" item from this seller. It wasn't open box but used. The filter was already removed from its plastic bag and installed in the faucet mount. A replacement filter by itself costs around $7-$8.

The reviews are grim.
"Item was used and included one used filter instead of the two advertised and had no
mooting hardware. Beware, if there is a filter sent without proper vacuum sealed filter, it
has been used and not safe."

Losing the included first filter alone wipes out any savings. This is trash.

Selling something like this for anything more than $10 is a ballsy rip off.
