Great credit card sign-up bonus (SUB) opportunity, more of a "churner" than an "earner" card. Annual fee (AF) is waived for the first year, then $99 thereafter. At an estimated 1.5 cpp redemption value, the SUB is worth ~$1200. I'm not sure how long this offer will be available - if you're interested, I'd move quickly. You can read more about the card [benefits, detailed offer terms, etc.] at the link below.

Note: If you do not have an in-flight code from an American Airlines rep, use code '000000'. This is explicitly stated in the offer terms as legitimate [reference screen capture attached; you can find yourself by clicking the reference '2' at the top of the page at the end of the special offer statement]. I used this code and it worked for my application. Good luck!

This was the same offer last month, but the flight attendants on the flights I flew on said it was only good until December 31, 2025. They may have extended it, but I'd be wary of using that generic rep code (use at your own risk as they might not honor the sign up bonus). Each of my flights had unique codes on the brochures. Better off asking any friend, family member, or coworker flying any flight this month on American Airlines for a real code.

Definitely better to use a referral code if you have one! I figure if they really didn't want folks signing up with a generic code, they wouldn't have one - but, that's just my take. I have no other 'business' with Citi, so it's low risk for me personally. Best to proceed with discretion, as with all things Smilie

Beware these jackasses -- compared to every other credit card in the universe, they accept your application even when their systems KNOW you're not eligible for the bonus. They also fail to warn you and after fulfilling all their requirements that induced you into getting the card, they do nothing -- and when you call them on it, they spit back terms and conditions blah blah blah. They have no interest in keeping up with industry practice and courtesy.

Yeah, in my experience I had to keep chatting and confirming I was getting my checking account bonus and that I met my bonus terms. Every chat person gave me a different answer. Once I called and was handled in a rude manner.

This is tempting but I don't want to deal with Citi again

That doesn't mean people who is not flying with AA can use the '000000' code. Citi can certainly ask you for your flight info for the day you were "supposely" flying with AA when you submit your application.
