How would this compare to a Blue Yeti?

edit: Sold out on their website.

Check out the refurbished versions. I bought the Two version and it was basically new. I've used it without a problem. If you can shell out the extra money for the two and you find it on sale (around $79) you should jump on it.

The mic sounds similar to an SE V7, it should be a better option especially if you have any minor background noise. The other bonus is that later on if you feel like picking up a new mic you can upgrade it and still use this interface, which is one of the best parts of XLR mics.

Does it come with a righteous sense of self entitlement or do you have to pay extra?

I got two. For fiftybucks each, i think its a great deal for mics, headphones and 2 interfaces. Paid $117 because i got a mic splitter cable.

Thanks! I currently have a Blue Yeti that I seldom use. I was thinking of giving it to a family member who is looking to get more into recording (or buying them their own), but at $50, I was thinking this setup may be a better alternative. Though there are more pieces to connect and set up.

Good deal on basic but good quality equipment. Hard to know how it compares to the Blue Yeti but, in general, less audio processing and better underlying equipment will take you farther. And if you outgrow this, you can buy a better mic.

As I recall the blue yeti has a more omnidirectional pickup pattern, which means it will likely hear more noise and unwanted sounds. I stopped using mine when I got better mics.

Can you run two of these at the same time on the same PC?
