Seems like their service is struggling at the moment. Had some issues getting texts and emails to come through. Anyway, I was able to resub the whole family for the 5th time lol.

My process is to remove the phone number from the old account by editing it to a fake number, something like 111-111-1111. Then I create a new account with a new email ([email protected] trick) and same phone number. I use a Privacy credit card for all the accounts so I can set a limit and pause it to prevent the subscription from renewing, but I don't think that's required.
Slightly off topic but...

What are people using now for privacy credit card numbers? Are there multiple good options without annual fees (and that are universally accepted like Visa/MC)? I used to use Citi but they recently changed it so you can no longer set an expiration date. Seems less useful. Does anyone have good recommendations to use for this Panera deal and other such subscriptions?

You should use a different phone number than you have on any other account. See my first post here. I change my expired account ph number to something else, then I am free to use my actual regular number for the new account. You may want to try a different email altogether if that is not your issue. Or a different name, or credit card that is not on a prior account. YMMV
Can you recycle the phone numbers? Like if my phone number is 111-111-1111, and now I change it to 222-222-2222, can I use 111-111-1111 again the next time I sign up for SipClub?

Lol no.

I've been doing this since post-covid when they started these deals. My last deal expired on 12/28 - 6 days ago. I haven't gone more than 2 months without an active free panera sip account using these tricks for the past 3-4 years.
honestly, it's probably worth it for them just to get people in the door. i've never once in my life stepped foot in one until these deals. i still wouldnt buy from them because it's expensive as hell though.

Yes, that's fine. Technically, multiple accounts can even have the same number, though it complicates some things, like recovering your account, or possibly abusing these free trials.

I use Privacy for Panera (that's literally the name of the service, privacy.com). It was free when I signed up and as far as I know it's still free to sign up. They have a premium version but I've never hit any limits that left me wanting to sign up. They give you the ability to generate new cards, pause cards, set limits per time periods, restrict cards to a specific merchant, etc. The nice thing about Privacy is that the only information verified by the bank is the credit card number, expiration, and CVV. So you can provide any billing info you want with the service/processor (e.g. Panera), even different countries, and the transaction will succeed. Actually now that you mention it, I haven't confirmed that expiration is checked either, I just always assumed it was.

Revolut also has virtual cards and single use cards that I use for various things, no fees, but I haven't used them for Panera.

My confirmation email says "Next Renewal Date: February 03, 2026", and then shows the stuff down below. It isn't clear if this will actually work past the first month. Are other people getting a different confirmation email?

Yup.

That's why they don't care.

Their main goal is bodies through their doors
1. to make it look like people are going there.
2. there's a high percentage of people who eventually do like this habit/lifestyle and eventually buy onto the sip club.... or its only a matter of time.
3. bodies through the door means there's a higher chance of them actually buying something else on the way out. Soda is extremely low cost, the biggest cost is their cups which is a couple of cents which for a body through their doors is almost nothing to them.

Same email, this is how it has always been coded/billed/whatever. It's 3 months at $0, the renewal still happens it's just at $0. After 3 months it goes back to normal pricing unless you cancel.

Thank goodness for the freebie again. I start in 2019 not paying for coffee and two months ago I had to sign up for $2.99 per month for three months. Now I'm back on the dole. One difference from the previous offers is now they require a mobile number when you sign ip. I faked one since they said that they would check to see if you did the offer previously. No sending a code when i signed up for the offer but when I tried logging in via my PC they sent the code to the fictional number and I couldn't get in. Probably not a big deal since it is unlikely that they will send a code when you log in at the kiosk.

my "nearest" Panera is too much of a drive, otherwise this is a nice way to keep the coffee going all day.

Just used on "new" account. Thanks for the heads up! I usually permanently delete old accounts - an option that is only available on the Apple app without calling in.
