Actually just bought a mic mini 2 and it works. You may have to update some firmware if you don't see the wireless mic option in your cameras settings.

I just bought the Essential Package for $199.99. Seems like the better deal, only missing a small connector.

Agreed! The only difference between the Essential Combo and the Standard Combo is the Osmo Action Curved Adhesive Base, which is not in the Essential. I've got a few just like those already.
