Professional installer. This is what I use. [parts-express.com] Yep. That's it. Uses the exact same spot to strip 16AWG as 8AWG. Quick, easy, effective. Does take a slight amount of skill/getting used to. 15+ years using em.

Likely wouldn't have enough excess for it to do any good. That's why I haven't purchased one. Just use a utility knife...cut down the middle and if pressing delicately enough you will feel the resistance once it cuts through the plastic outer shell and into the paper layer underneath before cutting into the actual wire conductor sheathing
