Can this be used just for wifi? One of the Amazon reviews says it couldn't even be set up without a SIM card.

I'm reading it as an A9+ tablet with 4gb ram, 64gb internal storage tablet, so it's probably bundled with 256gb SD card. But it'll be interesting to see what it has.

The mobile website still has the a9+ 5g up for sale at $279 and available for free with bill credits on a qualifying tablet plan for 24 months of greater than $20/month. But that's $480 all together and possible extra charges just to get a "free tablet".

4gb ram makes the tablet slow and glitchy

I have two of these for my kids. This thing is extremely slow due to a 4gb ram. There isn't much of storage left after system files on a 64gb. You can expand the external storage as you want, a lot of apps and files are not possible to install on a micro sd card. Once the internal storage is full, this crap is becoming even slower. Don't waste your money on this junk.

Don't do it. These 4gb ram versions are notorious for being slow.

I don't have a hands-on experience. I've seen the reports of it being slow in previous threads. But let's put things in perspective: It's only $110, with 5G and an add-on SD card for those who may appreciate it. I don't think you'll find a better value at this price.

And let's face it: You still have two of "this junk", and are apparently abusing your kids with it.

Bare minimum for Android these days is 6 GB of RAM. Even more is better if you can swing it.

I have a lot of these from metropcs. They are fine for streaming. If you dont want to use sim card just bypass it during initial setup by holding down vol- button when it ask for sim. It will be wifi only and no bloatwares.
