"rancid meat" is a bit over the top... it's just a bar and these taste as you expect. Yes the protein bars are more of the softer texture but these are just fine. I typically will lean on anything peanut butter and the insides have the rice crispy texture so a bit lighter texture than the harder/taffy like protein bars. if you throw these in your bag as a snack or pre-work out snack for a little energy these are just fine!
but as for the price - i'm not seeing these show as 2 for $30 (S&S) but rather $40
