Depends on what you're looking for. I was looking for mostly fitness tracking and picked this up when it was 79.99 most of December. Overall I think it's a killer deal for what you get. Battery life is good but with all the active stuff on I get 4-5 days. I've read people getting a lot longer so some must be turning features off.

It doesn't run wearos or whatever Google is calling their wearable is now so the ecosystem is comparatively small. Expect less apps, faces, etc. it does integrate with Google fit and other services though.

It's really a different class of device, though both have fitness tracking and tell time. The Apple Watch is effectively a small standalone smartphone on your wrist - it can run actual apps, take phone calls, call Ubers, stream music, etc. independently (like, you could leave your phone at home or even turn it off and most of the functionality would remain). The Amazfit devices are accessories that show previously synchronized calendar events and forward/mirror notifications from your phone. If your phone is not in Bluetooth range, they're pretty much limited to being timepieces with fitness tracking.

For me, my Amazfit is enough. But just understand the difference in functionality vis a vis a "real" smartwatch.

I recently purchased the Sport version and it's a killer watch for the money, but I really dislike how "shiny" it is. Anyone have the "premium" version and can comment on if the upper body is polished like the sport? The pictures show one thing but some reviews claim they're the same.

I have had the premium version of this watch since it was released about a year ago. Basically the same as this, except it comes with a leather band and sapphire glass. I get a solid 7 days of battery life, but I do have the O2 measurement turned off as I think it's pointless.Heart rate measurements may not be as accurate as an Apple watch, but close enough. I'm happy with mine. If apple watches were to get 5 days of battery life, I would think about getting one, but not the way they are now.

I see the Premium is $109. That's also a fantastic deal. Mine has zero scratches on it and I wear it 24/7 and a manual labor job where the watch doesn't get babied.

Is your premium version look like polished aluminum/chrome or is it more "matte"?

It looks more matt. Sort of like unpolished titanium would look.

Yeah, it's been $79.99 a few times. Might come back since the watch isn't that new anymore.

I bought this in July from Amazon for $75.99.
Battery life between recharge - 10+ days (I had turned off most notifications). Watch faces - few but offered meaningful data with the ones I had.

I have had this watch for a while mainly for weekends when I don't want to worry about charging every day while out and about. Really impressed with all that you get for such little money. Really nice screen, tons of watch faces to customize the looks, lots of tracking/sensors, has speakers to take calls and battery lasts 5+ days (with AOD and high brightness).

Thanks! One more question if you don't mind... some reviewers complained that the sapphire glass is a fingerprint magnet. Do you find that to be an issue? I'm still trying to determine if I should go with the regular or premium version.

Honestly, I don't find the glass to be worse than other regular watches I have. The one thing that bothered me in the beginning is that in bright light, it looks a little hazy. I later learned that all sapphire glass is like that. I'm used to it now. I absolutely think it's worth it. I've banged that watch around and every time I think to myself, that's it, you finally scratched it. Only to wipe it down really well and there's just nothing. I may never buy a watch without sapphire glass again. If you hate the dull case, Aliexpress has protectors in all sorts of colors for like $2. Also, full disclosure, the Premium comes with two bands. I hate both. One is the leather one which just doesn't work with the watch at all. And the other is the bright orange one which I would never wear. So they're both in the box they came in, and I bought myself a set of straps that I like much better (you need the 20mm version):

I can't speak to this exact model, but I think amazfit watches offer great value for the money even at full price. I had an active edge and I liked it so well I upgraded to the t-Rex. It's been my favorite running watch I've ever owned and I've had a few high end garmin models. For context I primarily use for a running watch for outdoor runs and outdoor 400m track workouts. I don't like wearing smart watch other than that, especially when I sleep. One of the things I like about the platform in general is it seems pretty easy to setup for your specific uses and turn other stuff off without hassling you to set it up to do things you don't care about. Both amazfit watches I've owned seemed like they were much higher quality than the price paid and battery seems to last a really long time.
