Can't speak to the refurb, but I bought this model about a month ago and have been impressed. I don't use it as a smart tv though and most the negative reviews are about having to create an account with Vizio to use the smart features.

The screen size (43") should be added to the main post

Edit: also maybe the model number although I think there is a lot more value in knowing the screen size. Model# is VQD43M-08

This has a FIXED power cable.
It ONLY supports 1080p @ 120Hz. If you want 4k you get 60Hz ONLY.
Remote has unconventional button placement. HDMI port placement questionable.
HDR can appear oversaturated.
Muddy/blurry image and questionable colors unless properly configured and calibrated.
Some reports of hardware failing...

Then again, its $160
