I like that Tapo has the ability to not only enable/disable automations from a different automation... but you can also use its state of being enabled/disabled as a condition within the automation.

It's a bit confusing, but powerful once you get the hang of it.

So for example I have mine set up to do different actions on button press based on which lights are currently on, if I have them dimmed for a movie, etc. Same button press, but different action based on the current scenario.

The title doesn't mention it, but these are Apple Homekit compatible in addition to being Matter compliant.

If only it was Matter over Thread. I prefer dedicated networks like zwave/zigbee/thread for these types of devices. If it mist be WiFi then i only put them on dedicated networks that have no access to the Internet. Which rules out anything that requires some random cloud servers who knows where...
