so you control with your phone or?
Yes - its a bit more limiting that using other options (like a controller) but the on-screen joysticks DJI provides you in their app get the job done. what set the neo apart though are its the automated flight modes. you literally turn it on, select a mode (like "follow me), and then launch it from your palm. Later, you walk up to it slowly, hold your palm out, and let it land in your hand. clever programming.
I don't know if this is Amazon, but none of the photos people are posting in reviews are even close to 4K. Many are not even 1080P. From videos I have seen, the later version of this drone has really good optical stabilizers so the video is way more cinematic.
Lowest price now, plus some buyer protection with Amazon-fulfilled. I prefer (and had experience with) Air Foto. Check seller ratings.
But with DJI, mainly get non-bundles (non-"Combo") if you already have controllers/goggles, since the combos are a much better deal. A combo deal was posted:
For the US, this drone-only purchase would be phone-only limited-range flights or for existing Neo owners still learning FPV and wanting backup/insurance and quicker turnaround after flyaway / bad-crash. Note that alternatives to DJI-care would be just a cash payout, but devil / details in the fine print on what is actually covered. This non-combo will get you back in the air quicker, at this lower price.
This older Neo is past its time for HQ video cinematics, but a nice cheap vehicle, having 2 fly modes- stepping stones towards jumping into full manual flight, flying true FPV drones (with DJI 04 air units). But if starting out in DJI FPV, better to get the "_Motion Fly More Combo" that includes the Goggles N3.
But for way better video and casual-use (non-FPV), a better total-cost alternative to those starting out is the Neo 2, a _much better drone, which has starter combos that can fly with hand-gestures and phone (WiFi, 50-300 meter range limits). Advise getting the "Neo 2 Fly More Combo" not just for the batteries, but the battery-bank's 1-hour parallel charging of the 15-min flight /battery, which makes for almost continuous fly time.
I don't like how with DJI drones you have to fly it only where they allow you to fly it. It's geo banned in many places. Sure, I get why it's that way but it's like buying a car that the ECU won't allow you to go over the speed limit.

That's gone. None of those restrictions are in the drone any longer; DJI got rid of those.

Don't forget with the NEO 2, there is a trap that the base bundle customers are frequently falling into. If you buy the base (which comes without the transceiver) and one day you decide (not if but when) you need more out of your drone, you *must* buy the transceiver and if you can find one, it's going to be a bit overpriced. Seen too many tears on this one, wishing for a do-over.
