Be aware that there are problems for this product. The USB A port just dies. It seems like it is a frequent enough that out of the 43 reviews this item has on costco, about half of them are 1 or 2 stars talking about this exact problem.

I use old pnones and finally just got a new(ish) iPhone and Moto that both use USB c, though I'm still just using old the USB a chargers I've had for years with usb-a to usb c cords that came with the phones.

Can anyone tell me why these new USB chargers with a single c port would be $25?

I have literally dozens of the old Usb-a adapters, and even "good" ones like my Anker two port USB A plug was like $10 years ago.

The problem is cables...had bought and reached out to Anker twice to replace bad cables within 6 months of use and then threw them away

This is the best 45W charger on the market. It's one of the smallest and the prongs have a little thing to keep it tight in the outlet, especially useful for airplanes. I wish they made a 65W version of this.
They did https://www.anker.com/products/a2663

The old USB-A adapters can only charge your phone at 12W, which is fine for slower charging, but a lot less than the max rate modern phones can charge at.

This is also one of the lightest/most compact options on the market. There are a bunch of 45w USB C chargers for cheaper than this but not at this size and weight.

Good unit, I have this and the size and weight are great. There are two newer versions with more charging profiles if your phone needs it (older Samsung Ultra phones with 45w charging that require 5A), the Anker Ace 2 version which is the same size/weight as this, and a physically larger but lighter version.

I've also had and compared it to the Baseus 45w which is a bit cheaper and also excellent. It's actually more compact than the Anker but it weighs more and has non-foldable plugs.

Isn't that the larger 47w model.

The 45w model here did well too though https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6A6JU2kk5Y

Spend an extra 10 bucks on the Tim apple 40w charger if you have apple phone 17 to get the AVS 40w charging feature.

I bought 2 packs from Costco after reading the reviews. Going in with the understanding that I will likely have a USB a port die, the costco option is still a great deal (1) a 3 port USB c 70w charger assuming USB a port dies, (2) a 30w USB charger and (3) 2 cables.
That said I will also have the option to just refund the purchase if it actually does die.

He was talking about the 30 dollar Costco deal, which I still think is a great deal even with a usb a problem

I had a 30W nano which was free with other anker chargers a few months ago. Pretty convenient carrying every day in pocket. This 45W is not a major upgrade.

For a single, "charge all the things" charger, 45W is the sweet spot. 45W is plenty to charge a phone quickly, and enough to charge a laptop (albeit slower than OEM charger). I have this 45W charger in my MacBook bag, and one in my Switch 2 bag.
