I bought one of the same combos from HD ($119 last week); Good deal. I slightly prefer these over the Milwaukee even though the rest of my kit is Milwaukee, I just like the trigger better.

For anyone wondering this is only the 57th time this "deal" has been posted over the past year...

Dude for real. I would consider buying this if it hit the right price point and every time i see the picture i get excited for a moment and then always see the exact same price over and over and over again lol.

Yep. I see the same thing with Milwaukee tools. They just keep posting the same "deals" weekly....I think some people are just doing it for extra rep points or something 🤷 ♂️

I think all these companies make the real money selling batteries so they are rushing to get as many customer base as possible to ensure future purchases of their batteries. Wish they would all be forced to make compatible batteries.

219 seems like a crazy price for anyone to use these.. This is a useful tool for any diy person if you dont have it. I happen to have dewalt as well.

Theres some adapters online for most of these. You cant use the adapters for charging so you'd always need to end up buying a charger for each brand but im sure facebook would have some cheap. That way you can always just buy whatever battery type is cheapest whenever you need them. They seem to last for a pretty long time though. Im on year 5 with the 8amp and 2 amp batteries on my dewalts and they still seem to hold the same charge.
I did pickup a dewalt -> ryobi adapter to buy some niche tools, i.e. hot glue gun, a fan, a chemical sprayer.
But to your original point, if they were all compatible batteries that would be great. Not dismissing your original point
