hard pass.

I'm having to jump through hoops to get mine serviced and I bought it new direct from Samsung.

In less than a year, the battery is lasting only a few hours.

Same. Seems to be the standard rather than the exception

Shame because I have the Ultra watch and really love the idea of the combo

...at least it hasn't bloated and almost ruined your finger? (yet)

Save your money and your sanity. Battery was down to less than 24hrs. Sent it in. Samsung denied warranty - 9 mo. in - claiming water damage. Used in showers only. And it has '10 ATM water resistance rating'.

I haven't seen much good use for smart rings imo. Has anyone felt that a smart ring is a great investment/product?. Big discount on msrp though

In theory they should be intrinsically better for monitoring blood oxygen and spo2. The finger is inherently more optically transparent than the wrist. But I've held off since they're basically disposable tech and I don't like that as a concept.

I got mine open box for $90 or so a while ago. I like it, the battery has been fine for me so far, I charge it maybe once a week compared to my Samsung Watch Pro 5 which I need to charge every other day..

I, too, started experiencing significantly shorter battery life after about 9 months. Samsung first said they were waiting on parts to repair (I really doubt they repair these), and then said they would instead refund me. Took a number of weeks but received a full refund of MSRP.

same issue as as you, but warranty work was easy peasy. They simply replaced it for me.
Bought mine last January for $119 direct from samsung with trade in of "any smart watch" which cost me $6 at amazon....lol

I did the same sale, but they said my warranty expired Oct. I had to prove to them that they sold it to me in late Jan of 2025.

Then they never sent me the package to send it in to them. I'm in the middle of no where without a UPS store, but they finally after two weeks sent me a self-print label. Then they had to renew the support ticket because it had been 14 days and they had not received it.

I'm guessing they will send me a new one too, but I'm also guessing it will suffer from the same battery issue I keep seeing people talk about.

I bought one last year when best buy had a similar deal going on but also with $100 best buy credit, effectively making this ring $71. So had to jump in and buy one. Been very satisfied so far. Didn't have battery issues like others, mine still lasts for 4-5 days (without the watch) and it's been more than 8 months of daily usage. I like the ring because I can skip the boring digital watch for mechanical when I want to

I also experiencing the battery degradation issue and "fake charging" (ring will charge to 100% in 5 minutes which is impossible, then drop really quick once start to wear). Contact Samsung for warranty and they gave me a new one. This one is about 2 months now and so far so good. I don't know if I will get another replacement when the battery degradation comes again.
