Correct. Fron my understanding, this is just a switch so for example if you have two inputs such as a PC and a PlayStation hooked up to one output (i.e the same 27-in screen), you can select which input that the output should source from. It saved you the effort of unplugging the HDMI cable from your PC and switching it to your PlayStation.
This will not support a use case of, for example, having two monitors hooked up to a office computer so you can work on your email on one monitor and your spreadsheets on another. You need a switch or docking station for that and dual HDMI ones are usually $20 to $100. I recently purchased the Wavlink docking station off of another Slickdeals post for $40 and so far so good for that use case. I have a laptop and two additional monitors and I am able to set it up for I have a screen A, B, and C with Windows (MacOS is more limited) and each screen can have their own content and I can drag windows across screens.
It looks like it's regularly at this price, which is nice.
FYI, this other unit is about $1 less and additional power can be supplied via USB. Many of the reviewers didn't need the extra power, so that probably for more niche uses https://a.co/d/cYG94D3
They all do this and all of them are wrong. Well some are splitters but this isn't one of them. Putting splitter in the title is pretty clearly misinformation.
Note: it is not fully bidirectional in that it doesn't support certain hdmi functions such as eARC.
If the ports are physically connected via the switch, meaning all 19 connections switch from one port to another via the switch, it should not really matter what protocol traverses over them, that includes eARC which is just another protocol.

However, coupon didn't work. I have multiple Ugreen items in cart so not sure if that's the problem.
