They have made these such a nightmare to use. If you try to use it on something exactly $10, it will cancel the transaction and you won't get your certificate back. You can bother customer service and then they'll tell you to make an order and they will apply a $10 discount. Only after you make the order will they mention it has to be something shipped by Best Buy and other stipulations. I ended up just buying printer paper because everything else is so overpriced.

It does not have to be shipped by Best Buy. I bought printer ink and it was sold & shipped by HP. I'm guessing it depends on the seller.

If doing in-store, a relative would price match first and then use these rewards. Sometimes it required a manager to apply reward after, but not sure if always was / is the case.
