Has anyone purchased? Amazing deal if it's just open box and scuffed etc.

Purchased 3 Dyson V8 Animals on clearance from Lowe's years ago and every single one of them had a bad battery within a year. I haven't bought a Dyson since. My old Dyson corded is still going strong though.

The brand may not be a Dyson. I wish I can include a photo of one of the commenters but it's limited on this post. Just wanted to share what I saw.

I have a V8 and the battery lasted about 5yrs before the max started not working for more than 30 seconds. I bought a new battery from Dyson and it works like brand new again.

What did you go with instead? Our V8 has been running strong for about 6 years now. Battery starting to get weak so debating replacing that vs. just upgrading entirely.

I bought a new battery and it was like new. But I want to buy another as backup now if it ever goes kaput.

Mine came full of dust and debris. Filter was also dirty... it was described as open box-new . The item was supposed to be unused but the box was damaged. Very disappointed.
