This is a terrible product, typical for SmallRig that got full of itself despite being basically an overseas copycat gadget low-tier accessory company.

You can't get quality leverage for any of its intended operations; the pivots are loose by design and simply don't do the job well.

I've had one for many years and have taken it on assignments across the country. With this and a Leatherman, I don't worry about making grip and lighting repairs on location.

FYI, the threaded holes allow you to keep extra screws attached to it.

Not sure why anyone would complain about the quality, but mine has been great. Smallrig is generally respected and often innovative. This convenient thing pretty much gets 5-stars everywhere.

These are $20.99 everywhere including Amazon.
Speaking of Amazon, per CCC, the lowest in the past year was $16.79 and the lowest ever was $13.93 in March of 2024.

If the pivots are loose, what's stopping you from using an allen wrench and tighten them up? I can see the tightening screw in the first photo clear as day. You'll probably need 2x of the same size, assuming a mirrored left and right -- one to hold the screw in place and the other to tighten. Most likely metric.

Took a while to get PayPal to work but it did. I had to delete a $1.95 charge for delivery protection...

Pretty much everything SmallRig makes is very nice quality, this included. If you need/can use the drivers it has, it's a handy little tool to have around. Reminds me of the bicycle versions I have. Similar concept.
