look at the reviews. 90% of the photo reviews shows the items still in a box. thats a huge red flag. who reviews items before they even set them up? and why would you review an item barely out of the box? the answer is that you dont get paid till you write a review, and that review must include a photo.

furthermore, usually when they are paying for reviews, they are paying for it to be posted to slickdeals as well. just saying.

yes. idk about many, but there are a few. like 1 installed for 5 in the box. some installed reviews are negative as well.

either way, that changes none of what i said. just because some people go through the effort of putting them up before their review, doesnt change the fact that in the box reviews are red flags for "paid reviews". who knows how many of of the installed unit reviews are paid. probably not all of them, but id bet some are. my point is, that when you see that many uninstalled reviews, all of the reviews loose credibility, as does the motivation for posting it here as a deal.

if you want to filter through all the reviews and buy these, go ahead. but as soon as i see a handful of in the box photo reviews, i move on. i dont want to support a company that uses that type of deception to sell their product.

There are only 120 LEDs spaced 40 inches apart. Spacing or number of LEDs are mysteriously missing from description.

These are all generic product from China which are damn cheap. I bought the one that was on deal before Christmas. It was $29 for prime member. Total length was 150 feet with 72 LED lights. I was able to hang one my garage and then within 48 hours one LED started was burned out. At least thats what I thought so I went ahead and asked for replacement since I got a defective product. To my surprise, that dud LED came back to life after 2 days has been working just fine for past 2 weeks now.
I have also got the replacement so I will definitely return the faulty one and hang the new one and try my luck.

My take on these deals is that they are dirt cheap and try them and hope they fail within the return period. I spend $10 per 50 feet which is ridiculously cheap. If this can last 2 seasons, I think it would be worth it. I had Sylvania LED lights that also gave up in one season, and I paid $20 for 100 LED lights. And it was not as fancy or bright as these chinese ones. In short, branded ones fail too at least these chinese ones are prettier looking
