I'd say you have to load, not side load. this isn't an android device that you need to work around google play store. But it's a simple computer, so you have to load games and roms onto a microSD card as the device's storage.

My go-to resource for these things is here: https://retrogamecorps.com/2024/0...ter-guide/

As someone grew up on old game systems, these little devices are amazing. just a cool, relatively cheap way to play a ton of those old games.

This might be a good deal on this device, but I'd recommend paying a bit more for a RG35xx-H or RG35xxSP, they have better components, can run newer games smoothly (think N64) and are still sub-$75. Example: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32...49380.html

Doesn't look like this is the Plus, just the regular one. Not a Slick Deal to me.

Cool. I didn't realize everyone already discounted any information on slickdeals due to it being b.s. I guess no warning needed for those who might actually think that deals on slickdeals are deals and not just regular price compared to a highly inflated imaginary price.

Not all MSRPs on SD are unrealistic, so I appreciate it when someone points it out that it is. Thank you. =)

I got this for $23 when it was released, and before we are charged for tariff.

If you buy them off Amazon they ship from the USA, but the SD Card is only loaded with the old (public domain?) atari/amiga games. If you buy direct from Anbernic (ship from China) the SD Card is loaded with tons of NES, GBA, Genesis, etc games.
This has been my experience with the RG35XXPro, YMMV. (worth the price bump IMO)

Make sure you charge this with an appropriate (ie: older/slower/lower amp) charger. You will fry this if you plug it into something you charge your modern phone/device with. Ask me how I know..........

I bought this when it came out. Too many quirks. Mediocre d-pad and Battery. Spend an extra few bucks and get the upgraded versions. It always puzzles me why these companies continue to manufacture these old, flawed devices. Too many PCBs?

Weird. I thought with USB that the device sets the charging rate up to what the charger can provide, not the charger just pushing the charge rate.
