This does not do a proper brown noise, but if you muffle it with a pillow, it gets closer. Great battery life, and it has a lock feature to limit you to turning it on and off. It would be nicer if it had a more obvious physically different on/off button.

I got 2 of these last time this deal was posted. Love these little sound machines! Cracking fire and thunderstorm are my favorites. My daughter and I put it on when we're reading bedtime stories. Really great deal!

We like to use White Noise on an old one we have but is getting scratchy, bought this because of how raved about it is, am returning it because the sound quality on White Noise is garbage. The other sounds are okay though.
Also didn't like that it kept shutting off when plugged in.
