How is it that third-parties can give Hall effect sticks for pennies but MS and Sony STILL refuse to put Hall effect sticks on even the most expensive ones?

Thank you, I did end up finding reviews and when I went back to the Woot page, I realized I went through it too quickly and didn't choose a color to see the ratings. Reviews are about what you'd expect for a controller at this price.

It's done on purpose so those controllers wear out sooner and the customer has to buy another. What you think they somehow don't know or can't put the better tech in their products? cmon

I owned 3 of these controllers before they moved to Hall effect sticks. Never had a problem with the sticks the triggers are both garbage. By garbage I mean the springs are so weak they don't return the trigger to its original position It was a well known fact that the company even acknowledged. However if you bought them from anywhere other than Amazon the German company or wherever they are from would deny warranty claims. Fortunately the controller would usually break with Amazons return period only using it for maybe 1-2 hours a day. I liked the ergo and the manual select for the back buttons but when any of turtle beaches controllers or sub brands easily beats this I won't be gambling on this again.
