You're absolutely right. The internet is filled with garbage now. Affiliate reviews, incentivized reviews, and the majority of Amazon reviews. I have the most faith in youtube reviews from channels that have been around for a decade or more.

Youtube reviews are definitely helpful in that they at least highlight features and compare to other competing products, but so many of them are also sponsored. Also, since they are one and done and not actual users of the products so you don't get the real user experience with the product such as learning that the product breaks or fails after only a few months of use.

I have the kaira pro and its good, sound quality is very good when you use the right EQ settings with the game genre your playing. the hyperspeed is the updated version of the pro. for $40 open box with almost all the platforms you cant go wrong. you can also check out the Steelseries Arctis 7X+ and compare the two but those are like $60 open box (i have both and barely use them lol).

edit: Hyperspeed is better for single player games while the 7X+ is better for multi-player games due to the chatmix dial to adjust and mix game and voice audio together.

Where are you seeing the Arctis 7x+ for $60? I gave mine to my son and would like another pair

I bought one on ebay for $55, in july 2025. It was basically brand new with all the cables and no scratches and listed as used.

they're fine… sound quality is okay but the microphone is definitely above average. After about 2 years they developed a very slight crackle that I haven't been able to resolve.
