The app on the google play store doesn't have great reviews. Probably should use Torque. The OBDII device might be ok, but there are many less expensive ones out there.

Seems like an overpriced basic Bluetooth obd2 scanner. What makes this worth the extra money.

GearWrench is a real brand, not some Chinese firm churning out strange stuff. Past that, this is a 2-pack, which makes them $25 a piece....not too bad for a name-brand ODB scanner.

You're right...hear wrench is a real brand...when they were introduced all their wrenches were made in Taiwan, then apex tools bought them. Apex has a great reputation of taking quality American made tools brands and shipping production off to China ..just like gearwrench. (And clico, weller, h.k.porter, Lufkin..)
This is just a China made obd scanner and avantnate is spot on.
Torque is a free app with alot more functionality than most obd scanners and a good elm327 Bluetooth one adaptor can be had for under $10.
I have 2 of these.

Yes, I bought this ELM327 thing years ago for under $5. It is working fine. I just used it last week.

Not bidirectional. They were priced as if they were, now they are just trying to get rid of them. It's not bad for somebody who has no idea what they are doing and can't figure out torque / elm.

I also recommend the Torque app. Like justme- stated, a decent elm327 bluetooth adapting obd2 scanner can be easily found for $10, sometimes $7 - $8 on sale
