Don't fall for this. I went through with the previous promotion and my rebate was denied. Called customer service, they tried to claim that I selected the wrong plan. Apparently this has happened to multiple other people.

This is a good option to disconnect your wired internet for few months and re-join them as a new customer. If your wired internet bill is going up up and up, try this option and switch back in ~3 months as a new customer.

Agreed, they kept saying the same. After a year of back and forth, they compensate me minus the previous refund for a lost month of service.

Finally received mine. First one was denied. Second one was created on Nov 10th and approved on the 8th (59th day).

This is a good option to disconnect your wired internet for few months and re-join them as a new customer. If your wired internet bill is going up up and up, try this option and switch back in ~3 months as a new customer.

I did this deal like 18 months ago and I got the rebate with no issue. The Internet is completely fine on it and maybe it's worth it for me.

Tmobile's promotions are scammy and fraudulent. They will deny your rebate after you agree to their terms. Run the FK away. You were warned.

Ignoring the rebate aspect, would this be faster/more robust than the 25M DSL ($80/mo) that I currently have? The DSL is currently the only option where I live (except HughesNet? which I understand to be horrible). The DSL has been fine for streaming and Internet browsing - it would just be nice to have something less expensive (without sacrificing speed or having a data cap).

In my experience yes but depends on how good service is in your area. May want to do a free T-Mobile trial unless you know how their service is where you live

Another way is either find a friend who uses a T-Mobile cell plan and do a speed test. Or you could look up what cell towers are near you, specifically focusing on the n41 band (5G) - usually between 100-300 mps. If you happen to live in an area where they have the ultra fast 5G (mmWave), you're in luck as you can hit gigabit speeds.

Did this deal over the summer and I received my rebate just fine. I recorded my signup process and kept notes on when I submitted my rebates though. Everything worked out great. Speeds were better similar to what they posted and is much stronger than cell service.

Did this - Rebate took a long time 60+ days, and initially was for the wrong amount (sent $100 instead of $300)

They did eventually correct. Just know you might be in for a process.

FYI: If you're going to take this deal, check a popular cashback website. Currently it is offering $75 dollars back. Also, if you have a Capital One credit card, check the offers section. Mine is offering $150 back. Note: you cannot use both cashback site and the Capital One offer, It's one or the other.

Both of these cashback offers have been higher in the past.
