Mostly with keyed chucks, but today's drills tend to use keyless hand-gripped chucks. It can be a challenge to tighten enough for the torques involved here.

For all the jokes, these things are very useful for planting. I have a nearly identical (orange red) set from another brand, and have used them repeatedly every spring and fall.

Link does not get me to a 4 pack as described (1.6x9 inches, 1.6x16.5 inches, 3x12 inches, 3x16.5 inches). It gets me to 1 pink bit!

The described 4 bits are not available as an option, must be sold out.

This put an insane amount more torque on the chuck than regular bits carpenters and machinists use.

It's very much there, it's the first option in the list. Price is now $13.99 though.

EDIT - NVM! The one I see shows 4 but it is a 2 pack. The other 2 in the pic are just them "installed" on drills. Apologies!

Aren't they plant in shallow holes? My wife dig holes for them the first time and replace them with loose soil and they are easily to scooped up or made hole with hand shovel the next time. Do you make new holes on the ground every season?

We bought a similar auger a few years back but never need it again. We made the initial holes in the area and replace a lot of pack dirt with soil from the bag for planting and they are loose dirt now. Our garden is small so they really can't expand much anywhere.

You are lucky. I am So Cal near SD and we don't get strawberries year round. We have a few local strawberry and blue berry farms that open up for picking during the harvest season but only once a year.
