at first glance, it looks really promising (so much so, it got me interested enough to check out the product page) as it seems to match all the features the leading competitors has -- 1500 watts, auto shut off, dry boiling protection shut off, large capacity, stainless steel, lights, etc..
But after looking at the Keepa, you can see the ridiculous tactic in play. Like another comment stated, the $113 retail is hilariously ridiculous. According to Keepa, it's only been listed for 17 days! And in that time, it goes from an utterly ridiculous $160, changes to a cheaper price in just 2 days to the price in this deal's title $113, then in just a little less than 2 weeks of being listed, drops down to the $23. It's obvious to see the tactic it employs (that slickdeals falls for) where it starts ridiculously high, then crashes down unbelievably low, so it can show off something like "79% off". I've just never seen it so outlandishly on such a new item, and then done so blatantly so soon right out of the gate!
And the reviews and product information are all over the place. 19 relatively high reviews for something that's only been listed in 17 days, and most of them are from months ago??? But whatever, maybe I'm wrong or Amazon is glitching, but I find it suspect. But the product information don't match up with what's claimed on the product page -- "features and specs" state 1100W, but this claims 1500W.
Whatever percentage off it claims, not a good deal as you would think/hope.

I'm not seeing Woot as the seller.
Seems like a no name with an inflated MSRP and then "huge" markdown.
The problem with that one is that the spout looks to be plastic.
At least the one in the OP is glass in all areas where the water comes into contact with it.
I'm trying to replace one I currently have because I've been getting of the habit of pouring out the scalding hot water and the spout is plastic. I'm trying to get away from the water-on-plastic contact to minimize exposure to contamination.

When I wrote my post yesterday morning, i KNOW Woot was the seller -- I remember remarking it to myself that that's probably the only legit part of this whole amazon product page! And now it's changed! More bait-and-switch...!!!
That, or Woot originally was handling it, realized how shady it is, and removed itself and now random "JINJIAYI" is....

-- it has since updated for "best of 2026", but still seems to be the same article more-or-less, just updated/replaced certain things. but from what I remember of it, it counted Amazon Basics as the best budget -- and still very quick & fast for boiling water; considering its price point....
