Yes, it is. It's a business grade laptop, and they usually don't come with good screens because corporate people, majority of them, don't care about the displays as they don't use it to consume media, but for productivity and office work. Only in recent years have the displays in business laptops gotten better but they still put 45% NTSC screens in many current ThinkPads, ProBooks, and Elitebooks.
Its a sub-$300 laptop with a powerful enough processor and good RAM, and good ports, complaining about the display would be nitpicking at this point.

Is this the same horrid 45% NTSC panel that Lenovo also uses? Because if so that's a very poor screen for media

Thank You for pointing out a major flaw of this machine. Allows others to make an informed decision based on their use case.

Even if you were to consume media on this, the screen isn't just complete crap. It serves its purpose particularly well as a business laptop would and you can watch videos when bored.
I have this laptop and I've never been like "wow, I really wish I could watch this YouTube video/Netflix show on my iPad Pro or MacBook right now" because if I really wanted an experience, I'd be watching whatever it is on my TV.

Looks like a single M.2, no empty one.

Is the next refurbished corporate laptop coming soon, or is this already a good buy?

The laptop's most valuable component is its 32 GB DDR4 RAM.

Newbie here, how difficult would it be to upgrade the SSD to larger capacity? Can this charge via usb or only 1x AC power port?

These have had the option of a 400 nit screen with 100% sRGB for like $100 more for a long time; I have it on my Elitebook G5 and its pretty good. Night and day vs my previous Probook's screen.

Pretty sure it does USB C charging as even my G5, 3 years older has a thunderbolt port with usb C charging. Upgrading SSD is easy.

Pretty sure the specs on WiFi is wrong and it is not an AX201. AX201 only works with Intel CPUs. It probably has a Mediatek WiFi or AX200.

It's not that business people "don't care" it's that they aren't given a choice and whomever at their company decides this is good enough is trying to pinch pennies.

For someone who actually works at the laptop the screen and keyboard are perhaps the most important considerations. Of course this is subjective.
