I got this about a year ago. Used on a glass door, cleaned it with alcohol first. The adhesive is not great. Lasted only a day before everything fell off the glass. It can usually be stuck back on (unless it gets dirty, then it's done), but it's just not strong enough to stay put when in use. With teens or older kids it may be fine, but it's going to take some patience re-attaching everything multiple times.
I personally would not bother with it again.

This is $9 cheaper now than a month ago. An even better deal.

Thought this was magnetic (for the fridge), but it uses adhesive. A few complaints about the lack of stickiness.

Interesting... going to get the set and see if I can remove the adhesive and replace with magnets somehow (or just get round magnets and stick it to the adhesive area... and use it that way). We have a metal whiteboard, which would work perfectly with this set.... if it used magnets.

Anyone who has this... are you able to tell me the diameter of the area that has the adhesive? Want to see what size round magnets I would need to find.

Bought this and it wouldn't stick to clean glass, or most surfaces

I would see if you can use the adhesive on your magnets, instead of removing the adhesive. But you may need a better adhesive

So I got a few 1inch magnets (they were pricey - 8 for $10.. so if I get enough for the entire set, it would be very expensive) just to test.

While the idea of sticking it to a metal whiteboard worked, the magnets have to be strong to stay on there.... but the metal marbles also sticks to them.

So it's an expensive idea.. and likely need to change metal marbles (even more stuff to purchase) to a diff material marble (or just try your best with metal ones). Probably not worth it....

My daughter really enjoyed it. We stick it to a window and it worked well. The adhesion claims to be micro filaments like a gecko pad. It is strong enough that we have to use the tool to get the parts off the window. Maybe others installed the pads backwards? There are instructions for how to put the pads on, but it would be easy to get it wrong. The parts have been up for weeks because they are so hard to get off.
My complaint is that it is very easy for the marbles to go so fast that they jump out of the tracks. They could have made the tracks just a little deeper. They anticipated this problem in the instructions and blame it on chaos theory and claim it is educational. Ok, sure, but some better engineering would have helped.
It wasn't very long before I was looking to try to make a loop de loop, but it was impossible.
Overall, I can see why it is on sale and at the sale price it is fun and worth it for me. We had some laughs and a little learning.
