Funny this identical item posted earlier has 2 thumbs up at same price... I bought this item and it is excellent build. Pieces fit together perfectly without the use of any mallet, 2x2-inch steel frames with
2-inch spacing between the 1-inch holes is plenty sturdy for 99% of people doing a home gym. It took up more space than I thought because you need space in the back to put on weights for the LAT pull down... duh.
When you first assemble step one, the cross beam has a side that has a hole at one end, presumably for draining moisture if placed outdoors... have that hole face down which is not even mentioned in the instructions.
For those about to assemble, when you get to this point, put on the side arms at the top of the frame before you put on the pullup bar across the front. The screw has to go through both in the upper part of the front posts.
Also part E2 and E3 were incorrectly instructed... they should be on opposite side to have the screw thread holes on the proper side.

Is this any better than the $200 Balancefrom posted recently?
When you add all of the included accessories and that this one has 2-inch spacing between the 1-inch holes for 27 different levels, a padded lap brace which is adjustable to five different heights to hold you down while you do the LAT pulls, and a nice panel in the back with built-in hooks to hang accessories neatly, I bought this item over the BalanceFrom cage, which is also a nice cage.

BTW, the Mikolo cage is model F4 version 2.0. The previous model F4 which was posted in May, 2025, on Slickdeals and had 5 thumbs up rating at a $300 price at that time, had 4-inch spacing between the 1-inch holes. Oddly, when my two boxes came, it said Model F6 on both boxes... Maybe "F6" is their way of more clearly distinguishing between the older F4 (and this F4 version 2.0 or F6).

I ordered the $200 BalanceFrom and seeing this I'm having second thoughts. The BalanceFrom is not US standard, so you can't buy cheap third party accessories. It also appears that it does NOT include the safety bars that are in the photo. Apparently it used to be included in years prior, but they don't give those to you anymore. They don't even sell them separately, and since the holes are not the standard 1" holes and the uprights are not the standard 2" uprights, you can't even buy third party spotter pins / bars. That's a very significant omission. I'm considering returning the BalanceFrom (which hasn't even arrived yet) and buying this one instead.
What I find odd is that none of the major Home Gym review channels on YouTube have reviewed this rack.
CORRECTION: they did review other versions of this rack under the brand names Major Lutie, more recently renamed Major Fitness.
1/15/2026 UPDATE: The Mikolo safety bars have on one end a plastic sleeve which can be removed to reveal holes hidden by the sleeve which can be used with a pin to secure the safety bar... Just put the plastic sleeve on the other end where there is no such hole. The pins provided (for other features like the band braces) with the model F4 version 2.0 have very functional large ring-pulls which can fold over the pin to prevent the pin from dropping out of the hole... Very nice unknown perk!

What did you end up doing, stick with BF or? Recently ordered thaf too, but having 2nd thoughts. This went from 305 to 339 on Walmart last night but still seems like a great deal for what you get over the BF.

It keeps going up and down between $295 and $339.
I'm waiting for the BalanceFrom to arrive. Let's see whether the security pins are included or not. I think the Mikolo is a better deal given all the accessories included. Their squat racks with functional trainers are also quite nice and affordable if you want a functional trainer.

So it's been lower a few times? I could be patient for a few weeks then I hope for a better machine and attachments I think. My balancefrom is arriving tomorrow they say. I just need something compact and cable system.

Yes, it was up and down. It was down to $296 at some point I think. The price has been fluctuating over the past couple weeks. Other Mikolo squat racks have also had fluctuating prices on Walmart during the same period. Worth keeping an eye on them.
Note: Mikolo is not sold by Walmart. It's sold by Mikolo as a marketplace item. So it's a different return policy.

Thanks! Yea the return policy is the reason I didnt bite at $305 as wanted to make sure I had the room and if 2nd story was suitable for something like this.

Did you get your balance from? Mine arrived damaged, maybe it was a sign. Upright connector was smashed to hell
