I don't know of a situation where a corded snow blower is practical.

I have one (different brand). It's a just in case of emergency one. We don't get heavy snows usually but can happen couple of times in some winters. Better than shoveling. No maintenance required. And takes up lot less space

Almost nothing you said makes sense. So you have an "emergency one" in case your primary device fails, that takes up lot less space than a cordless/gas one ?

In addition, yes they require "maintenance" to the blade/other parts just like any other cordless blower does.

I've had a corded snowblower before. Not a fun device to have corded.
