From the pictures looks like they use cylindrical cells instead of prismatic.

In the teardowns I've seen online, they are prismatics.

Under $70/kWh is one of the lowest prices I've seen yet.

Indeed.Under $70/kWh or just .88 cents per Ah is crazy cheap. And for what it's worth, Will prowse does a full test, benchmark, and teardown review on the smaller model/same brand and found it to be one of the very best batteries hes tested. On Par with Li-Time & Li-time 320ah batteries which is just half this capacity cost 6 to 7 hundred dollars

I considered the other day putting a battery in the trunk, and using a warming lunch box that automatically cut on around 10:00 or 11:00 to have food hot by lunch time, but I thought oh no it might kill the car battery. But then I thought I could put something like this in the trunk with it and charge this with the alternator when driving, and then use this to power the lunch box. Wonder

but for that purpose I probably need a much smaller cheaper one in the future

Are they making 48V 150Ah in same form factor? Would be way better option for solar than 12V

You can find everything they make and sell on their website. It's only a click or few away.

They probably do. One advantage to this is most of the BMS's used by these types of batteries support up to 48v configuration so if you were going to get 4x of them you could just run them in series and have a 48v system, or run 12 or 24v. Maximum flexibility based on your devices. With a 48v battery you're locked in and have to buy step down converters for any 12/24v devices you wanna run.

Curious how that works, they have communication cables between all batteries? Don't see that mentioned on product page. Not sure how else they can regulate cell voltage
