I have this dome, installed in summer of 2013. There is notable color fading, but structurally it remains solid and in good shape.

Good price I had mine for 3 yrs and it's still structurally sound. Although it's begin to rust at the attachment points my guess the powder coat paint wore off and also the nuts and bolts and washer started to rust probably cause it's not galvanized. Emailed lifetime and they replaced them but I had to pay shipping.

These things bring back fond memories of minor childhood injuries. I never see these in the playground anymore.

Still tons here in rural maine. But then again we still have tall metal slides with no safety features and those things that allow you to spin yourself in a circle at unlimited speed.

That explains it lol. I grew up in the Midwest but now live in the People's Republik of California so all the playgrounds are neutered into oblivion.

Most of the injuries on these, if memory serves, were smacking my face on bars when I'd drop in from the top. Nothing beat playground items where I could hang upside down.

I've had this for three years and all the neighbor kids have gotten a lot of use out of it, even the older ones. My three year old can finally climb it to the first rung, but my 5 year old can climb to the top and drop in. It holds me just fine and I don't see any rust, despite the strong winters here. The metal gets hot in the summer, but that's to be expected. Consider getting a parachute too because you can drape it over to make a hideout.

We bought one of these in about 2016, and it's holding up very well. My youngest (8 and 10 year old) and neighborhood kids still play on it frequently.

@brucedc you would not be able to combine kits. I don't think it would have the structural integrity. It won't really hold circle shape if you lift it off the ground or placed it on its side, however the half dome shape has plenty of strength sitting on the ground. One of my ideas with this was to place it diagonally on the side of a swingset giving the kids a slightly different concept to climb on, but if you did that it would perhaps bend under its own weight and surely collapse under the weight of kids. When on the ground in the designed config I can get on top of it without it bending or feeling unsafe, and I weigh 285lbs.

These are awesome, added fun if you get a disc swing to hang from the middle. I think we may have also at one time had a tent type thing that fits over it to make it into a fort.
