This is a great price if you fit the niche. Also seeing open box excellent available for shipping at $1850.
Personally looking at gaming I would wait for a model that supports FSR4. The previous generation based on Nvidia graphics match this model's performance but support the latest DLSS 4.5. So I'm not personally compelled by the AMD variant. But that's me. I know a lot of people use these for AI tasks and the 64GB RAM available to the iGPU helps here.

For anyone considering waiting like you suggest, just keep in mind the next iteration likely with "Medusa Halo" won't be released until likely mid 2027 at I'm sure a much more expensive price point than this is initially. There is also a very strong likelihood of RDNA 3.5 getting FSR4 officially, as it is already possible to get it running unofficially.I don't disagree with your point, I just wouldn't count on the next generation version even possibly being at this price point for at least 2 more years.

I had bought this device initially and i loved it. Played Spider-Man remastered so smooth and stayed so cool! My problem is that it costs the same as the g14 5070ti when it was on sale for 1950 so I ended up going with that for more power and weighs the same as the z13 with the keyboard.

This is not a bad price for new. A few weeks ago open box in good condition was going for $1580, which is best I've seen.

How's the battery life? I know it's Apples to oranges, but anywhere near an iPad? Would love to have an all in one device.
run into any issues/driver incompatibilities?

The device is extremely energy efficient for a gaming tablet/notebook. AMD strix halo is maybe even the *most* efficient in this category.

That said the battery life is lower than an iPad's despite having a much larger battery. The chip here is just way higher power. We're talking about 6 - 10 hours on basic tasks and 1 - 2 hours on demanding games.

Amd's drivers are super mature.
