These dumb zoomers can't seem to comprehend that they don't own these digital games... Only the license.

One day, when it goes all digital and the internet goes down for like a month or the publisher takes away the movie/game, maybe then they'll realize it

Until the server goes offline. Now you can say that'll never happen... But it can and does even with expensive games.

But don't worry, the trial lawyers will send you a $5 gift card, and tell you if you pirate the game you already own - you'll risk bankruptcy and/or jail.

So, it matters. It's not about the money, it's about sending a message.

It's a keycard. Not really a physical version in the strictest sense.

The physical thing is always funny to me. In the end you can still sell it to someone else and they can physically load it and play it. The number of people who've made this their goal on Slickdeals to highlight in every post is just funny.

Like if you can't hack into the card and see the physical files on your desktop is it that big of a deal for you. Even then most games on disc or any other medium have a patch you need to download.

Shits just getting old. gonna eventually turn into then HDMI meme

Very good game. Worth it if you haven't played it by now.

This game is so farking good. late 80's Japan vibes (huge economic boom). Great story, fighting is a okay at best but there is so many side stories and mini-games that you can easily get 60-80 hours without getting bored.

Can't blame them for the anxiety, they still struggle to read.

I remember Gen X mocking us Millennials. It has gotten so bad, I barely can smirk at that.

Reality is, we need to get Zoomers and Alphas to work with us on fixing these broken laws and policies.

Folio may have 1TB discs to sell this decade for consumers. I'm afraid few will buy.

I mean you can still sell it or lend it. Seeing grown men care so much about whether a video game is actually loaded onto a cartridge or not is sad. You probably spend $30 on a trip to Mcdonalds.

Agreed. These dudes probably spend $30 a day at Mcdonalds and Taco Bell and then want to cry because a games files ain't directly on a cartridge.

Millennial here. And I have to assume the dumb people here are actually boomers who've never heard of a ROM before. All these games will be cracked and available for centuries to come. The price you pay now is simply for early access and to support the devs.

Like I've heard this argument for digital content for over a decade and it's ALWAYS available down the road for free with minimal effort. It's one of the reasons DRM kinda of went and left. They just care about protecting it while it's for sale (not that DRM won't be cracked eventually anyway).

Like in a perfect world would it all be physically owned by me. And would updates install to the cart and not device so I own it forever. Sure.

It's so dumb. Like the $10 game increase, and digital content, breaks their brains. So much effort put into complaining about it too.

Every game also requires day one downloads, so they're not getting the full working game if the servers shut down anyway.
