This has been that price at my Target for the last month. It's not a deal.

Just buy the digital S1 version that's been on sale for $10 and upgrade for $10. Or even better, borrow a S1 cart from a friend or the library and upgrade for $10.

Good point on the pricing.

Doesn't the SW2 upgrade require the SW1 cartridge to be in place to play? I don't think "borrowing" is viable. Only exception would be if you started w/the SW1 digital edition.

For every single other S2 upgrade yes. But for some reason not for Hogwarts. It's been confirmed multiple times and has been working for months now. So either they don't know or don't care about the loophole. From my understanding it works a little differently as you have to play the game to a certain point before you can upgrade.

It doesn't for this game. I just did it myself with an digital switch 1 version. It's the full digital game. I've returned the borrowed game and been playing the switch 2 version with no switch 1 version for the last week. I from my experience can only confirm it works with the digital switch 1 game, but there have been many threads on here and reddit that confirm it works with the physical switch 1 game as well.

These people amuse me because they really hoped this game would be unsuccessful thinking that everyone stands with them and when this game sold VERY well they got all worked up... and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Nope. I originally bought the original version for $10 and then upgraded to the Switch 2 version for $10. Then I deleted the original version. Played just fine.
